Ursa hosts Insights event in Houston Nov 13

Are you interested in learning how satellite imagery can be turned into valuable data?

If so, and you’re in Houston on November 13, then please swing by a networking event we’re hosting that evening (details and RSVP here).

Come for the food and drinks. And stay for a presentation highlighting insights into the oil market gleaned from Ursa data.

We’ll also have trivia questions designed to test your knowledge of energy news. A bottle of Finger Lakes wine (flown from our Ithaca, NY office) will be awarded to the winner.

Our presentation is based on Ursa’s flagship product using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to measure global crude inventories.

This dataset can unearth trends months before public sources become available, if ever.

One of our satellite imagery analysts will also provide an update on the construction of major oil infrastructure in the US Gulf Coast and the ongoing repairs in Saudi Arabia at the Abqaiq processing facility.

A lot has happened since we held our last Houston Insights event six months ago.

Some of the questions we’ll tackle include the following:

  • Are global inventories higher or lower versus a year ago? Six months ago?

  • Which regions look over- or under-supplied?

  • What better reflects oil fundamentals? Flat price or structure?

  • What drove China’s inventories lower over the summer? Will it last?

  • Can inventories shed light on the strength of China’s economy?

  • Is there much work left to be done at the Abqaiq facility? How much damage remains?

  • Have Saudi Arabia’s crude inventories refilled to pre-attack levels?

  • What is the construction status of the Ingleside Energy Center?

  • Will strong exports cause US Gulf Coast stocks to tighten?

We hope to see you there!
